Two products that quietly do a lot of heavy lifting on every refurbishment project we work on.
A solvent-based paint stripper that softens old coating layers for scraping. Works on both oil and emulsion systems. Use for refurbishment where mechanical removal would damage the substrate.
A phosphoric-acid rust converter that neutralises rust on ferrous metal and leaves a paintable black phosphate layer. Essential before priming salvaged steelwork.
These are the most chemically aggressive products we make. Follow the safety data sheet — we supply it on request with every order.
Ventilate the workspace. Wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Keep away from open flame. Don't mix with other cleaners.
For paint remover, neutralise the stripped surface with clean water and allow it to dry fully before re-coating. For rust remover, rinse thoroughly and prime within 24 hours before flash-rusting sets in.
Work outdoors or in a space with cross-ventilation. These products release vapour.
Chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles, long sleeves. No open flame.
Brush on generously. Let the chemistry do the work — don't rush the dwell time.
Rinse with clean water. Allow to dry fully before the next stage.
