Primer
Red oxide alkyd primer for ferrous metal. Builds a tough, rust-inhibiting base coat on steel gates, railings, roofing sheets and structural framework.
High gloss
High-gloss alkyd enamel. The classic specification for wooden doors, skirting, window frames, wrought-iron gates and metal furniture.
Matt
An alkyd matt enamel for surfaces where a non-reflective finish is specified. Ideal for architectural metalwork where the client wants substance without shine.
Quick dry
A fast-curing alkyd enamel for industrial and factory-line applications — gets equipment back into service in the same shift.
The oil range is for substrates that emulsions don't belong on. Metal, timber and equipment surfaces all benefit from primer + topcoat.
Skipping primer on metal is the single most common failure we see. It looks fine for a month — then the rust bleeds through the topcoat and the project has to be repainted at cost.
Our oil range is formulated for brush, roller and spray application. Industrial Quick-Dry is purpose-built for spray lines.
Wire-brush or sand to remove loose rust. Degrease with white spirit. Dry thoroughly.
One coat of Oxide Primer on metal. Allow 8 hrs.
Apply the chosen enamel (gloss, matt or quick-dry). Lay off in one direction.
A second enamel coat for full build and colour fidelity. Allow to cure before return to service.
